The Mamamacs Team

Mamamac’s is situated in Prince Alfred’s Hamlet, 10km from Ceres. It is a small, community orientated business that is all about high quality, delicious baked goods. The recipes we use have been perfected over time and are firm family favourites. Each and every biscuit is made from quality, fresh ingredients (no preservatives!), hand rolled and cut. We believe it is this attention to detail that ensures the textures, flavours and nostalgia our customers have grown to expect and adore.

It all started in Lourensia's farm kitchen, where she baked using her mother’s traditional recipes.  What started as a labour of love grew into a little bakery run from her converted garage in the Koue Bokkeveld to a fully equipped facility in Hamlet.  Lourensia has since swapped the valleys of Ceres for the blue ocean in the coastal town of Kleinmond. Mamamac's is now run by her daughter Anneke and her business partner Tjaart. 

Mamamac’s is a small bakery but we have a big heart.  At the core of what we do are the hands and hearts that make each biscuit and rusk possible.  We believe in having a sustainable impact in our community.  Many of our staff have worked at the bakery for ten years or more and they are equally as proud and passionate about our baked goods as we are.   
With their support and commitment we have been FSA certified which ensures that all our production, packaging and distribution methods pass very strict food safety guidelines which protect not only our customers but also the workers themselves.
